Cheetah Cheetah Cheetah

If there's anything I'm currently obsessed with, it's DEFINITELY cheetah print, studs, leather, and bright colors. Last night I had a family communion party that didn't have a very strict formal dress code so I figured I could have fun with my outfit and be sexy, stylish, and presentable at the same time. I've been seeing a lot of the "high/low" shirt styles lately and when I found a cheetah print & black high/low dress, I knew it'd be the perfect dress to wear! I paired it with black strappy wedges, a studded leather jacket, a bright pink bag and cute little accessories! I love taking something brand new and putting it together with things in my closet that I've had for a while, like my leather jacket!

Little Things, Big Inspirations

It's amazing how one small thing can inspire you to want to do SO much more. I've always wanted to be in fashion and start my own line one day and even though I haven't done anything major, I feel like I just accomplished something big because I've wanted to do it for so long.  I understand I don't have a big following yet (heck, I'll be lucky if my friends even want to buy my things), but I have a lot of hope. This isn't the first time I've done something like this, when I was 16 I started my own bracelet company through myspace, it wasn't really anything major, but I did make some money from it, but whenI was making the bracelets for my friends, I realized it wasn't even about the money, it was about doing something I loved. Soon, I found myself basically broke(I was 16 with a single mom and I didn't have a job) and I decided I'd have to put the bracelet making on hold and focus on school work and being a teen. My friends all wore my bracelets wether they liked them or not because they were for me, and having my friends wear them taught me a lot because I got to see what they liked and didn't like and it was cool to have an audience and get that kind of feedback even if they didn't know how much it meant to me. I experimented with certain fabrics and beads and saw what worked and didn't work. Here I am, 4 years later, out of school, working full time, and back into my fashion magazine and blogging obsessed days, trying to do something, anything that means something to me and be more creative. Every time I'm stuck in a rut, I think about that bored, poor, and eager 16 year old teenager who only wanted to make a difference and have a place in the world, which is why I decided it was time to start doing something I love and enjoy again. I have high hopes, but I know a lot about disappointment, so if I'm let down or receive negative comments, it'll only push me to work harder and harder! I'm doing this with no background in fashion, design, or any sort of fashion education, but I think it's about time I did it!
One night out of the blue I decided to order a bunch of studs and pants to create my own designs, and here I am!

These are a pair of shorts I bought a few days ago in that pattern already, they're high waist cheetah print shorts by Klique B. I bought them in a boutique in Brooklyn called "Flavour" for $32 bucks! I bought a pack of 50 studs online just so I can get a feel of what kind of studs I should buy for the future and to give me more ideas on what I should do, and this is the outcome!

I don't think I'll be selling these because I originally bought them for myself without the intent of studding them but I actually love the way they look!

I really hope to advance in what I've started, if anybody has any ideas on what else I should do, please feel free to let me know!
