Cheetah Cheetah Cheetah

If there's anything I'm currently obsessed with, it's DEFINITELY cheetah print, studs, leather, and bright colors. Last night I had a family communion party that didn't have a very strict formal dress code so I figured I could have fun with my outfit and be sexy, stylish, and presentable at the same time. I've been seeing a lot of the "high/low" shirt styles lately and when I found a cheetah print & black high/low dress, I knew it'd be the perfect dress to wear! I paired it with black strappy wedges, a studded leather jacket, a bright pink bag and cute little accessories! I love taking something brand new and putting it together with things in my closet that I've had for a while, like my leather jacket!

Little Things, Big Inspirations

It's amazing how one small thing can inspire you to want to do SO much more. I've always wanted to be in fashion and start my own line one day and even though I haven't done anything major, I feel like I just accomplished something big because I've wanted to do it for so long.  I understand I don't have a big following yet (heck, I'll be lucky if my friends even want to buy my things), but I have a lot of hope. This isn't the first time I've done something like this, when I was 16 I started my own bracelet company through myspace, it wasn't really anything major, but I did make some money from it, but whenI was making the bracelets for my friends, I realized it wasn't even about the money, it was about doing something I loved. Soon, I found myself basically broke(I was 16 with a single mom and I didn't have a job) and I decided I'd have to put the bracelet making on hold and focus on school work and being a teen. My friends all wore my bracelets wether they liked them or not because they were for me, and having my friends wear them taught me a lot because I got to see what they liked and didn't like and it was cool to have an audience and get that kind of feedback even if they didn't know how much it meant to me. I experimented with certain fabrics and beads and saw what worked and didn't work. Here I am, 4 years later, out of school, working full time, and back into my fashion magazine and blogging obsessed days, trying to do something, anything that means something to me and be more creative. Every time I'm stuck in a rut, I think about that bored, poor, and eager 16 year old teenager who only wanted to make a difference and have a place in the world, which is why I decided it was time to start doing something I love and enjoy again. I have high hopes, but I know a lot about disappointment, so if I'm let down or receive negative comments, it'll only push me to work harder and harder! I'm doing this with no background in fashion, design, or any sort of fashion education, but I think it's about time I did it!
One night out of the blue I decided to order a bunch of studs and pants to create my own designs, and here I am!

These are a pair of shorts I bought a few days ago in that pattern already, they're high waist cheetah print shorts by Klique B. I bought them in a boutique in Brooklyn called "Flavour" for $32 bucks! I bought a pack of 50 studs online just so I can get a feel of what kind of studs I should buy for the future and to give me more ideas on what I should do, and this is the outcome!

I don't think I'll be selling these because I originally bought them for myself without the intent of studding them but I actually love the way they look!

I really hope to advance in what I've started, if anybody has any ideas on what else I should do, please feel free to let me know!

Motel + Betsey + Rebecca, perfect for a great party

Last night was my cousins Confirmation party and I haven't been to a family oriented party in a while so I was pretty stumped on what to wear............until I came across the perfect dress from Motel. I actually ended up with the dress for this party on accident! I had bought it with the intentions of wearing it for my birthday party last weekend but when I realized it would take about 2 weeks for the dress to ship, I needed to go buy myself an emergency dress last minute. To my surprise, 3 days after I bought a last minute dress that I ended up really liking, the Motel dress was dropped off at my job. I was going to return it until I realized I still didn't have a dress for last night! I didn't really want to wear a typical black dress or dark colors so it came at the right time. I paired the dress with my favorite pumps and my favorite bag and threw on a statement necklace to match. I also wore it with a new pair of earrings and a few rings but since this was a last minute style post I actually didn't get a chance to photograph them :(

Demi Lovato at MTV

A few weeks ago I was off to MTV for the Demi Lovato "Stay Strong" documentary screening and after show with Demi herself! It was a really exciting and emotional night but I had a great time. I've always looked up to Demi ever since we were around 15/16 years old and she's always been one of my style icons as well. I found her style incredible and unique for somebody around our young age back then and through the years even after everything she's gone through she's still kept up with her incredible style. I have a lot of respect for her and she is always an inspiration behind some of my outfits, especially the outfit this post is about. After thinking and brainstorming for a few days of what I was going to wear, I came across a picture on Tumblr of the pop princess herself wearing a fur vest, sequin leggings, spiked litas, and a pretty shirt and that's when it hit me! I had found my outfit. I had a vest similar to the one she had on, shoes similar to her litas, and I couldn't wait to put it all together. I hope you enjoy the outfit as much as myself and the director of her documentary did! Davi Russo, the genius director behind "Stay Strong" stopped me outside of MTV to photograph me because of my outfit, I was taken back by it and I am still in shock about it even a few weeks later.

floral docs, leg warmers, and burgundy lips kind of saturday

Soooooooo today I was off from work and I decided to make it a mall day!(Post of everything I bought coming soon!) When I was younger I would just go to the mall to hang out in a Victorias Secret or Hollister sweatsuit and a pair of Uggs but my style has changed a lot in the past 6 years and the only time you'll find me in Uggs & a sweatsuit is at work, the gym, or if I'm sick. I really love the color black and when I do black i either do black from head to toe or black with small things that pop against it.

I love stripes, fur vests, and anything floral so it didn't hurt to pair them all together and anyway........the best time to wear a striped sweater IS ALL THE TIME!!! hahaha okay that was lame, sorry. I feel extremely comfortable in this outfit and I think that leg warmers go perfect for any situation and I love the way they look paired with the high waisted leggings and Docs!

Vest - From the 90s, found it in my moms closet(hehehe)

MY BABY. This is the GREATEST bag I'v ever owned. My parents gave it to me as a Christmas present and I am in love, it goes with everything and is perfect for almost every occasion. I recently took a less than 12 hours trip to Philly and I was able to fit everything I needed in it.

Let's play a little game called hair or vest?

Moms Birthday!

I haven't updated at all since I said I would have because I've been at work almost every day and when I'm not in my work clothes....I'm in my gym clothes or pajamas so I really haven't gotten a chance to wear all of the clothes I've bought recently/that I've had for a while (I should do a post about the new clothes I bought soon!) So since today was my moms birthday and we were all going out for dinner and drinks tonight I decided I'd finally take pictures of my outfit before I left so I could make a post about it :) The pictures aren't that great because I don't have anything close to a nice camera, it's just me, my blackberry my canon powershot, or photobooth so bear with me for the time being!

I've been on a flowy top/high waisted pants kick lately, I just can't get enough of high waisted pants/shorts! I think they're perfect for every shape!

In each photo I'm wearing black high waisted pants, a sheer pink/purple top, a black bandeau under, spiked Litas, a black (sort of) quilted bag, and my FAVORITE part of ANY outfit.....ACCESSORIES!!!!!

Latest Love

My latest love isn't an article of clothing, a bag, or a pair of shoes, instead it's this amazing website I came across about a month ago: NASTYGAL.COM! I am absolutely in LOVE with everything they sell. The clothes are extremely sexy and chic. They have a vast selection of vintage clothing, new clothing, shoes, bags, jewelry, and much more! In the next day or 2 I'm going to make a few posts about my favorite things from the site, but for now, I need to continue telling you about how awesome they are! They carry dresses that are perfect for every occasion, my personal favorites from them are usually the one sleeved dresses, they're incredibly sexy;). NastyGal also carries beautiful Jeffrey Campbell Litas and Rebecca Minkoff bags! I highly recommend that you check them out once you finish reading this. I promise, you will NOT be disappointed! :) XOXO <3
